FAQ

Common questions answered

Common questions about using EnDAO and participating in Groups.

What is EnDAO?

EnDAO lets groups pool money and make decisions together with structural accountability, not just trust. No single person controls the funds. Every Decision is recorded.

For the longer version, see What is EnDAO?

How technical do I need to be to use EnDAO?

Not very. EnDAO is designed to be as simple as any modern web app. Sign up with your email, fill in your name and username, and you're ready to join or create a Group. If you can use email and fill out forms, you can use EnDAO.

Is EnDAO free to use?

Creating an account, joining Groups, and creating a Group are all free.

How many Groups can I join?

There's no limit. You can be a member of as many Groups as you like.

Can I leave a Group?

Yes, you can leave any Group at any time from the Group's page. The only exception is if you're the sole remaining Admin — you'll need to promote someone else to Admin first.

What happens to my votes if I leave?

Your past votes stay recorded for the Group's history. Any votes you cast on Decisions that are still open at the time you leave continue to count.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account from your profile settings. Some data (like votes you cast on Decisions) may be retained for the Groups' record — deleting your account removes your personal profile but doesn't erase the history of Decisions you participated in.

How do I change my Group's voting rules?

Admins can adjust voting period, quorum, and approval threshold in Group Settings. See Group Settings.

What if I have a question that isn't covered?

Most common questions are answered in the rest of the docs — the sidebar covers getting started, voting, treasury, and more. If you're still stuck, get in touch.
