Getting Started
Install EnDAO on Your Phone
Add it to your Home Screen, and what that turns on
EnDAO runs in a browser, and it also installs to your phone like an app. On an iPhone, installing is what turns notifications on at all.
Installing it
Open your account settings and go to Notifications.
- Android
- Tap Install. It lands in your app drawer and opens in its own window.
- iPhone and iPad
- In Safari, tap the Share button, then choose Add to Home Screen. The same settings row shows these steps.
What installing changes
| What you get | iPhone | Android |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | Only when installed | Work either wayInstalling keeps them from being switched off later. |
| Links from email opening in the app | No | Yes |
| Its own icon, no browser bars | Yes | Yes |
On iPhone, an emailed link opens the browser
Tapping an EnDAO link in your email opens Safari, not the installed app. Safari keeps its own signed-in state, so you can be signed in on the Home Screen and asked to sign in again from the link, on the same phone.
Sign in there, or open the app from your Home Screen and find the same thing.
