What Changes When You Go Live
Sandbox, Unlisted, and Live
Every Group sits at one of three activation tiers. Moving between them changes what's real and who can find you, and one of the moves can't be undone.
The three tiers
| Tier | What it is | Can it appear in search |
|---|---|---|
| Sandbox | A no-risk rehearsal. Money is simulated and the group is not listed publicly. | Never listed |
| Unlisted | Real, but invite-only — not shown in the public directory. | Never listed |
| Live | Real and publicly discoverable. | Eligible, if three other things are also true |
Which moves you can take back
Moving out of Sandbox discards the simulated ledger. A rehearsal can't be replayed once you leave it, so finish rehearsing before you go.
What going Live actually changes
Going Live makes your Group eligible for public listing. Eligible, not guaranteed: Live is necessary but not sufficient on its own. See Who Can See This Group? for the other three things that also have to be true before a Group actually appears in search.
